The Pillar Mistero

We recently returned from the “trip of a lifetime” in Italy. We saw several misteri, like the ones below. The first picture shows a famous Gothic cathedral, with a piazza in front and two pillars. The first mistero is “What cathedral is it?” Then look at the picture that follows, which shows the top of one of the pillars.
