Welcome to “Rare Genetic Diseases Bookclub!”

Both Inside the O’Briens by Lisa Genova and Mercies in Disguise by Gina Kolata are available from the Cincinnati Public Library in hardcopy and ebook forms (but only limited numbers of copies), or from commercial booksellers, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble, in both paperback and ebook formats.

 
 

If you can get Inside the O’Briens in time, please try to read up through page 83 before the first class meeting, so we have something interesting to talk about! The reading goals suggested below would allow us to finish both books within the eight weeks of course meetings, but we can make adjustments if we find that this timetable is unrealistic.
